Increase the impact of NGOs engaged in the implementation of the SDGs by supporting them in their communication activities and contributing to the social, ecological and gender development of the community.
Understanding the Blog4SDGs
Blog4SDGs is a collaborative content creation platform that aims to give visibility to local initiatives in Africa in support of the UN 2030 Agenda.
Importance of the SDGs
The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) constitute an opportunity for all nations to guarantee their own survival and then that of the whole earth. In this last decade of the implementation of the SDGs, everyone’s contribution is a determining factor for its success. This therefore implies ensuring that everyone is informed about the challenges related to the implementation of the SDGs.
Positioning of African countries
The local initiatives, the various activities carried out by organizations and associations in the communities are absolutely edifying and would obviously incite other people to action if these activities were sufficiently popularized. This is first and foremost what motivates us to highlight local initiatives in favor of the SDGs.
- Give more visibility to NGOs invested in the SDGs and increase their impact;
- Make data on local and national SDG news available and accessible;
- Position African countries favorably in this last decade of action (2020-2030).
Blog4SDGs aims to capitalise on local initiatives, mobilising competent volunteer bloggers who will benefit from capacity building on the SDGs by dedicated experts. These volunteers will then help produce content related to the SDGs which will be hosted on the web platform www.blog4sdgs.org. This is a collaborative blog where each contributor will be credited with their work
